The National Television is again in my post, they don’t even care for their image, be it in their home-made productions and even in their day to day broadcasts on the different channels.
They give the impression that there is no one who ensures a quality service or review what they put live.
A simple example, and repetitive one, is as shown below:

In the above picture, taken when one of the “preview” of a film was being broadcasted, you can cleary see that the film will be broadcasted on Sunday, at 21XXhrs, the XX mins display, being hidden by the LARGE mbc3 label.
Damn it! So, i will have to sit before the tv set from 2100hrs till 2159hrs to really know at what exact time it will start! This happens too often, too much!!!
hihi, and now 2 more pics…
Since 1 week, my sister and myself are alone at home since parents are not in Mauritius, so, everynight we either eat at my cousin’s place(next door) or like today and yesterday, we cooked ourselves at home.
Quite a disaster!
Yesterday, we planned to eat Chicken and at the end, we were left with a salty curry lol!
and more recent, some hours ago, we TRIED to cook some pasta, mixed with a “rougaille saucisse” since we had nothing else to put in it.

While cooking, all the “rougaille” was evaporated LOL! and we were left with fried and “over-cooked” sausage. As for the pasta, it was ok but since the last mins, my belly is making “glou-glou” lol, and tomorrow, i have a company event to go to, at Domaines Anse Jonchee :S

we were not only the victims, since both Neha and Deepa(cousines next door) were fortunate(???) to have been invited for dinner at our place for the last 2 days
lol, 1 more week to go like this!
practice makes perfect, so lets hope in some years, i can cook a bit better!
Did not really want to write any further posts on those competitions organised by our National Television, but, could not resist after that of today…

I will try to recap everthing which happenned….
I as quite surprised, as well as most of us watching it here at home, after the announcement of the voting results, the girl there started crying….

Come on, its only a miserable competition, no need to do as if u r on Sa Re Ga Ma Stage or any other famous competition…
lol, and guess what? She was crying, not because she lost, but because she won!
Initially all of us thought she was quite dissapointed!
Online SMS Display Messages
Nice innovation, live sms on your screen….
but quite unpleasant for their image, i agree they should display everything,
however, its not always nice!!!
Judges….
Lets talk about the choice of the judges there…
One in particular(to the right in the picture below)…

On his first appearance before the camera, he was unable to speak correctly before the camera (”ti p gaga”) and how is he going to mark the performance of the candidates???
Female Host, totally lost in her words!
Again, MBC has put 2 new female hosts, which are completely “amateurs” just like the one they put on “Hum Tum” Singing & Dancing Competition some months ago…
Today one of the female hosts talked nonsense at one instant (when there as a tie -candidates with same points )
She told approximately the following:
The first time something like this is happening here in this emission, you can send your sms to vote!lol,
In fact, at that instant she meant “You can send your sms to comment!”
That are the disadvantages of being live!
Orange Representatives
Orange, being the sponsor of this singing competition, its quite normal for their representatives to be there….
Just a small comment (since most of them being french or english, hence not understanding anything!):
Hey banne representants Oranges, attention zotte beze mangue labas!
Mentors

The concept of the mentors, was completely stolen from Sa Re Ga Ma Pa.
Be Original! At least prove you can be creative!
Time to leave u here, dont hesitate to add further comments below!

Articles, Blogging, General, Nomad, Technology, Web, myT April 25th, 2008
Hello,Ki dir?

More than 1 week already, “orange p vender partout”, but still, no response from the competitors, at least, nothing extraordinary in their business strategy from namely,
- Nomad
- Emtel
- MTML
- DCL
Except a small thing from Emtel, you can now epin ur mobile with only rs20, instead of rs25.

r for rabbit modem
I tried to access Nomad’s portal, but a big “Under Construction” Notice is there, dont know since when, lets hope its something really BIG for the few users still hanging out with their rabbit.c

d for dcl…
DCL Communications seems dormant since, euh, a long time, very long indeed!

goat for cabri l’inde…
As for MTML, its “Azu wireless broadband internet” is available since some weeks back but till now, there havent been any marketing done to attract potential customers, perhaps because they are not ready yet to handle many users and hence face the same problem which nomad faced with thousands(?) of ppl connected and the system breaking down day after day….really bad reputation they have here in Mauritius! lol

o for zorange…
Internet, Mobile, everything is being controlled by Orange, offering several offers ( mobile packs etc etc ) + innovations (new portal, magic numbers, etc etc) since its launch.
Will they be able to compete with the big multinational company orange?
Sure, the mauritian blog community and myself will be here to keep you updated about the events in our cyber island ( lol, cyber! )

After nearly 2years, i have revamped my web site, below are some screenshots…

I have also rewritten nearly all the text + added new stuff while removing other pages.
Any additional stuff that i may find interesting will be added in the Cool Stuff section, for example, simple articles showing you how to use any email add with msn messenger or how to compress a picture, the easiest way…

Innovations in this version:
- Use of lightbox script for image zooming
- minimal text as far as possible
- use of pictures to make the site more interesting…

Future works:
- use that banner (or another one )or a lighter version of the banner onto this blog
- use criticism from my friends and visitors to make the site better
- make a new intro banner, by replacing the existing one, dated 2 years back too!
Have a look now and do leave a message

Lets play Snakes!
About Me, Articles, Blogging, Fun, General, Technology April 11th, 2008
Level 19, thats where my cousin Neha and myself have reached till now, and seems that there is a long way to go before the end since it has 37 levels from what i read some mins ago.
Hey Neha!, 18 nivos encore ena pu aller la! lol !

Wikipedia says:
Snakes is an update to the classic Snake game from Nokia. It is freely downloadable from the Nokia N-Gage website, and can be copied to another N-Gage handset via Bluetooth. A new version is now available as an embedded game on most N-series smartphones from Nokia.

During our “narien a faire” time, we take turns to play, trying to reach the next levels, and just for tonight, we finished 4 levels i think.
The Queue level:

below, the “Double Cross” level,nice

Dont know when we will finish the game, but sometimes its really tough, especially the hex fields levels like below:

It can be downloaded from here or in many other sites, freely…

Does anyone of you play this game?
Which level u reached???

IT’S A SHAME for the Mauritius Police Force!
During my lunch time today, i SPOTTED 2 police vehicles, both in PARKED ILLEGALLY, just in from of A POLICE STATION, that of Pop Henessy, situated some meters from KFC Cathedrale.
hehe, as usual, i didnt fear taking out my mobile to take photographs of the scene!
One of them was parked along a yellow double line while the other lied midway on the pavement!

See the pictures below…

And they dare to fine us if some cms of your vehicles lies on a yellow double line or on the pavement!
Yashvin,
reporting for www.yashvin.net,
about the injustice and incompetency of the
goverment and some of the local authorities lol
Hello everyone…
I was astonished by wat i read this morning in the Le Defi Plus newspaper…

Oh, no, not exactly by this title, but rather, one sentence from that particular article, as shown below…

According to an inspector of the MSPCA, an owner can have only 2 dogs, else, he is considered as a dog breeder, thus has to possess a permit issued by that organisation.
Well, now look in your neighborhood…
How many of you have more than 2 dogs? do you have a dog breeder permit? lol!
Take a minute to think about that more deeper, if an owner can have only 2 dogs, then, if there are 5 persons in that family, living under 1 roof, that makes 5×2=10dogs, it that right?

btw, this is Pam, our 2nd dog at home…
Wait wait wait, another thing…
Is there any law for other animals? Birds? Cats?
Thats so stupid!
Its high time that those laws are revised, as well as all of the institutions, which are completely outdated with their laws and principles established centuries ago… just like those famous “100ml of rainfall” which caused the death of ppl among our population.
btw, yesterday i bought an ipod shuffle 1GB… nice thing and so SMALL!

Difé lo morice © sok appadu!
Articles, Blogging, General March 26th, 2008

After the happenings of today with 3 ppl dead, 2 ppl lost, loads of houses flooded, we may ask ourself,
Is Mauritius ready to face a crisis with
- its existing government,
- its different essential institutions responsible for monitoring the climate and taking immediate decisions and actions,
- the existing infrastructure (roads, surrounding of rivers, …)
- AND with a METEOROLOGICAL SERVICE like nowhere else! (read more)
See below the forecast of Meteo France:

2 pics from tushal shot in Curepipe…

Perhaps some of you may have forgotten the following:
- Nearly 3/4 of the island was in a complete blackout due to a fault in ONE of the electric infrastructure in early 2005!
- ICTA blocking facebook access!
- An unhappy suspended technician hacking the mauritius telecom system and the whole country deprived of internet!
- Something more frequent, a minor accident on the motorway early in the morning and paralyzing the whole traffic for hours!
Do you remember more examples of this type???
Feel free to quote
Note : This is only my point of view…
You may not agree with me, and express ur own beliefs…
God is a figment of man’s imagination.
WeYOU created him inouryour undeniable lust for security and a need for purpose. God doesn’t exist. Until evidence is given to support His existence, no rational thinker can put faith into religion.
Its not a secret, I simply never believed in god…
Everybody in my surroundings know well how much i care for him, to such extent that during any hindou fast, i have either Chicken or lol “Mo saucisse et mo disefs” (copyright @mong colleagues)

I found no reason y i should follow those millions of ppl praying to those imaginary ‘creatures’ but nevertheless, i do respect their way of life…
One simple example, i quoted this today @ work….
This Sunday, i read in 5-Plus that a few hindou devotees owned their life to the “Kawal” they built and were carrying back to their village after their pilgrimmage to Grand Bassin. Some driver has unfortunately lost control of his car, hit with 3 of them and struck with the Kawal.
Those pilgrims feel that without their “kawal”, they would have probably lost their life…aaarrrrrrrr!
If instead of wandering on the street, on their way to pray to ‘Him’, they would probably be at home and none of them would have been hurt in anyway, nor would have his leg plastered! lol !

The only times i go to Grand Bassin, is when we go out for Plucking Goyaves de Chine or for a picnic somewhere, with lots of food in the car ![]()
I think its the 4th year i havent gone there to “pray”…
Quite often, i like to question people:
To croire dan bondier?
While some of them would answer by a firm “OUI”, a few of them would reply back “wi imper imper”
How can u believe in something “imper”?
Its either a YES or a NO!

One simple reason y (some) ppl (especially youngsters) believe foolishly in God is because since their birth, they have been always been taught that ‘the one above’ will always here to help you in ur bad times, you must pray constantly, blabla….its because the way you were brought up.
just ask ur parents, they will continue the paragraph…
Not believing in god, keeps me open minded, enables me to understand other people in my surroundings, without first asking myself “hey malbar sa, non lascar, or even nation sa!”
Not believing in god gives me the liberty to believe in other things, use that time in a more constructive way doing things i like, spending time with PEOPLE WHO REALLY EXIST, instead of believing that one day, my wishes will be realized, probability -0.01 …

And what if its purely a coincidence that ur wish has been fulfilled?
Have u ever thought of that?
As said someone : “L’espoir fait vivre les imbeciles….”
I have stopped counting the number of time i get clashes at home, just because i dont follow the beliefs of my parents or my surroundings, or because i eat things which a hindou is not supposed to eat….
Hey u indian guy/gurl, have u ever tried Porc/Beef?
No? then you are foolish (for me)
& what if one day u have nothing to eat, except some delicious miam miam, porc/beef meat?

God’ if ever u r reading my blog and dont like wat am saying here,
you, who possess all those powers,
ban my blog,
make my server hard disk crash,
Oh god, u can do everything, ya, really everything!& y dont u leave a comment btw? LOL
Triolet, the longest village & TBS, wat a bus service!
About Me, Articles, Blogging, General, Work-Boulot March 1st, 2008
Situated in the north of the island, Triolet is one of the biggest village in Mauritius, but certainly the longest of all. Populated with over thousands of people from all religious beliefs, the MY village, lacks nothing but a good bus service! we will come to that a little bit later….

Among the existing infrastructures we have for instance:
- excellent roads, with over 5 humps(speed breakers) lol !
- a large market place, XXL size,
- Police Station, Fire Station, Postal Service, Health Care Center
- 3 main primary schools, over 10 colleges, tens of pre-primary schools,
- a branch of practically all banks of Mauritius and
- perhaps hundred of bus stops, with thousands of unsatisfied bus users!

One particularity of Triolet is that it can be said to have no “business center” since everything is scattered all long the main road, divided into different regions, among which we have the famous 3 (7eme mille, 8eme mille & 9eme mille), 3-Boutiques, Cinema Anand, Cinema Cassée, Derningham, Solitude, Terminus & etc…
Thats for a brief intro about the village and
what if we discuss about the bus service?
![]() |
Triolet Bus Service has the exclusivity to be the only 1 bus company to “serve” over the village and the neighboring villages : Trou aux Biches, Grand Baie, Cap Malheureux, Pointe aux Piments, St Antoine, Arsenal, Riviere du rempart, Fond du sac (added to the request of Neha & Deepa, telling me wat to write here) & etc… without forgetting Pointe aux Sables & La Tour Koeing. |
Unfortunately, when it comes to wait the bus early in the morning, then its better to “prend ene la bougie rouge”.

During school days, at times, you can wait upto 30-45 mins to get a bus in which u can find a STANDING PLACE!
Be it a school day or a holiday, there is the same number of buses on the roads + perhaps a few buses dedicated to colleges. However when its your turn to enter a normal bus, 3/4 of the passengers are students!
For instance, several times i had to wait on the bus stop from 0705 to 0745 before getting a bus to go to work.
If one day you have to go to the capital during the peak time ( 07:15-08:00), i would advise you either set out much earlier or much later!
I am sure, there must be someone who is directly related to the management of Triolet Bus Service (TBS) reading this, so this is for you!
Kot to eter
- kant mo bisin faire porte manteau dan bis dan gramatin?
- kant mo bisin pourri dan soleil pu attane bis ki zamais vini?
- kant gagne place diboute dans ene bis ki ressembler boite sardine?
Another thing….again on the buses from TBS…

Notice the arrows (^ above ^) pointing to the bells (sonnettes).
In most of the buses of TBS, they are situated nearly at the roof of the bus, and now imagine the following scene:
A small girl (like Neha, height : 1m50) stopping at the next bus stop and trying to “peze sonnette”. Poor girl, her hands will never reach the bell, and she will have to ask the help of an adult(long enough) each time she travels in such buses to and from school!!!
This problem does not only concerns Neha, but hundreds/thousands of children, students and elderly people travelling by bus!
Kot lizier bane f**** la ti eter kant zotte ti place sa sonnettes la sa hauteur la?
:@:@:@!!!
meme mwa mo gagne probleme!
This post reflets the reality of loads of inhabitants of Triolet and those from the neighbouring villages, served by TBS!!!
SPREAD THE WORD PLEASE!
btw, i now have 400 friends on facebook
