Incompetent!!!

Its so true, and now its really confirmed!!!

I do agree that weather is something natural, but if you cannot forecast something, why try to do it???

first false forecast, its ok,
second one, still ok,
third one, becoming to be annoying
but with the Mauritius Meteorogical Services, its so obvious that each and every forecast they do, all are them turn out to be true lies!

Be it a simple daily forecast or a cyclone forecast, they always go wrong in all their forecasts.

The most recent experience that all the mauritians and the world have undergone, leaves the Mauritius Meteorogical Services in a really bad situation!

This 31 Jan 2008, at 7am, the Mauritius Meteorogical Services maintains a cyclonic warning class 3 in mauritius and forecasts that the cyclone is approaching dangerously mauritius and even with their stats,they show that the cycone is following a steady direction and path, and it located 260km from mauritan coasts.

At around 845am, No Cyclone Warning!

How can a cyclone, that they are following since the last days, dissapear like that, 260km from the coasts, just like that?

Especially when the ‘EXPERIENCED forecast officers’ have been telling that the cyclone is coming directly and without doubt near mauritius!!!

So, once more

NO WORK (for the moment) & NO SCHOOL OR UNI for others…

History : from 4am to 7am today(thursday 31 jan 08) it travelled 30 Km, coming closer to our island

Expectations : a long weekend of 4 days minimum koz tomorrow friday is public holiday in mauritius, and it seems that today, the cyclone warning class 3 will persist and may even be upgraded to class 4. 

Current Situtation:
Pratically no rain and small gusts of winds in the north. Cyclone believed to have a small diameter and active within that area.

My Prevision (in red, LOL, that was yesterday morning)

My Next prevision will be issued later today, if there is no work lol… koz if the 3rd warning cyclone is removed before 11am, all the staff of dcdmc will have to go to work

It was already the 25th Jan 2008 and the celebrations were not over yet!!!

DCDM Consulting had its welcoming year party 2008 at Domaine Anna, Flic en Flac…

Everything was so nicely organised,and the location hmm!

We had our dance floor next to the artificial waterfall and our dinner tables were set just some meters from there.
“La bouffe” as we call it, was delicious, nothing was missing in our plates, even for dessert!
Being an official company event, we had only water, juice, beer and wine but this did not changed anything on that night.

Everyone was there since 7pm till 00hrs, dancing till the last song, the “sega bye bye”

lol, i still remember, most of us were waiving our hands, saying goodbye, until the dj applied a brake effect, stopping the song….

It was a special day for many of us, including me and hmm, some1 else lol…
Thats all that can be said for today hihi!

Voila ene grand mot ki ti comme-ci l’evolution ki siecle, ou plutot, our dear national broadcasting corporation made it appear as such.

TNT, more than 1 year back, it was like if a gift(euh appx rs2000) sent from heaven but now am sure, many of us have strong desire to throw this away, at the face of those Managing Director or other ppl who still talk about their revolution, the DIGITAL TV!

• There is only 1 channel that is ‘watch-eable’ and thats B4U.

  Well, watch if for 1 hr, and then switch it off koz it repeats the same thing for days!

  The catalogue is full of films that have already been played on the normal channels, and some of them, like bollywood movies, have been played for over 3 times!

  Euhh, pas watch, Ki serti???

• Digital version of mbc1,2,3
  Ki serti?
  Nothing great about this, they only boast a lot for something mauritians are already watching since decenies!

  I ask myself, how many chinese watch this channel???
  Am sure, they must be about some dozens…

  Its a channel which is not even worth enjoying!!!

My Question Today is:Ki zotte penser lo MBC so TNT ???

its practically 2am, we are still in office, working…

we will be leaving in a few mins to get back home by taxi and tomorrow, we must be back to office at 830…

all these hard work to complete projects due to be submitted, some parts tomorrow, and others the days after…

Since nearly mid-december., i didnt have the priviledge to enjoy any of my weekends, since i was in office, working till late!
Even on the 31 dec 2007, we left office at 20hrs and we came back on the 3rd to continue with our work.

Contrary to our other colleagues, we had only 2 days off (1st and 2nd Jan 2008) while all the others enjoyed a long vacation of 12 days(from the 22th Dec 2007 to the 3rd Jan 2008)
