“La Police mwa!” 2 believe or not?
Articles, Blogging, General October 30th, 2007

The world is becoming dangerous place to live in, including in mauritius where we have lots of abuse of power in the different sectors, especially when it concerns high status government officials or like here, in the Police Force…
We live in a country where most of us do not know our own rights… & those so called awarness programs do not really make us learn useful things that may save our skin in front of a government servant of any kind!
Nevertheless till now, nothing concrete is done despite the different measures and legal “Standing orders” of the police force which stipulates that
- Every police officer without any exception, should carry their warrant card
- The Complete Uniform should be worn, else its a violation of law…
Please note that this post comprises of some extracts from an article from l’express…

Recent happenings will and is surely going to raise a lot of questions of some practices in the Police Force, some of which include some incidents narrated in the newspapers the last weekend:
- A young man approached by a “ADSU member” and was asked to hand over his belongings
- a clash between a Juge, a deputy and a police officer….again here, we cant say who is to be blamed, as all of them are officers of the governement, hence, abuse their power!!!
Do you know that a “heavy duty vehicle” like a catapillar doesnt has the right to drive on any road without proper escort???
Well, i do, and 2 weeks before, one such vehicle appeared before me, without any escort and i didnt hesitate to “met soffer la dan so place!”, in addition to the fact that he insisted to me that he pays his Insurance and “declaration” like any other road user…
LOL, u should see his face when i argued wiz himon the road, his and my vehicles standing right on the middle of the road!
Another useful thing…
You can at anytime ask the identity of any police officer to report him, if his name is not to be seen on his uniform, or if he declares to be one…
ASK HIM HIS WARRANT CARD!!!

Bribes…
Bribing is illegal, in any form, to anyone…
If ever any Government Servant asks u a bribe in any way, u have the right to report him or produce strong evidence against him…
The next time, anyone stops u and claims to be a police officer,
DO NOT BELIEVE THEM
until they produce their warrant card and insist to be brought to a Police Station for any further inquiry, or search…
NO WARRANT CARD, NO POLICE OFFICER,
even wiz their uniformL’habit ne fait pas le moine !!!
Get them sacked for any power abuse !!!

DCDMC Water Day + Camping!
About Me, Blogging, Fun, General, Leisure, Work-Boulot October 28th, 2007
FUN !
I dont know where to start, we had so much fun yesterday and today too…
Without forgetting all the preparations finalized on friday, since i form part of the welfare committee… Pratically the whole day was taken up, fixing things, buying tons of beer(lost the pic) and so more…
Then came Saturday, the long awaited DCDMC Water Day 2007, a company event, organised by the welfare committee….

We reached flic en flac at 830 to prepare everything before the arrival of the whole team of DCDM Consulting…
At about 9hrs, vans started to arrive and soon, the activities were about to start;
- Kayak
- Pedalos
- Fun Games
- Beach Volley(lol, i played too, something rare)
- Bouees,
- Swimming,
- Musical Chair
- Aqua Tug Of War
- hmm, forgot lol….
- AND DANCING ON THE BEACH! Wiz a DJ !

(Michael,       Ramma,                            Me)
(Roubina, Nisha, Vero, Wendy, Dhaneesha)
The first half of the day was spent mostly in the water while the remaining part, we participated in games and danced a lot, on the beach itself!

Me, Wendy, Vero & Nish, waiting to go for a tour on the Bouees…
After so much fun and beer(cans n cans, they kept appearing!), Our Small and Solid Group moved to a bungalow which i had reserved for the night…. Its the first time lol, that i organised such a thing, a camping night all by myself, without forgetting the Le Pouce Mountain Trip… All of them made these days so memorable, n fun !!!
And its only 3 months that am in the large team of DCDMC….
thks to all of the colleagues there!

here is our small group, but here we miss our friend bernard…
This night, we went to sleep at nearly 330am, we spent the night on the beach, in front of our bungalow…. no need to say wat we did, and so much truth was out through our games, “Truth n Dare”
I think that is all, i just reached home some 30 mins before, havent still changed my clothes, pictures will come soon on the next post….
Keep having a look at the pages of my life….
There is so much happening these days and am very happy that it took such a direction, else, i would still be lagging behind, andmissing so much wiz ppl with whom we can really trust, despite being together for such a short term….
thnks a lot to : Nisha, Vero, Dhaneesha, Wendy, Bernard, Abhi, Michael, Rama, Warrda, Hamita, Vishal, my close friends out there, working together nearly side by side….hope i didnt miss some1 important here…

Exclusivity : MOONWALKER in Champ De Mars !!!
Articles, Blogging, Fun, General, Leisure, Work-Boulot October 25th, 2007
thats really gr8 news!
walking towards DCDM Consulting this morning at 825(pas ti en retard 2day), something attracted my attraction, lol…
MOONWALKER was in Champ De Mars, but still uninstalled.
Immediately i took some pics to show in office, we could see it clearly fromthe 5th floor where we work.
hmm, i already know how we will be going to spend our lunch time everyday!
In Champ De Mars lol, if they really plan to install it here!
So, am xtremely happy to bring this exclusivity, dont know when they are going to launch it officially, but be sure, u will be kept informed, live(thnks laksh for correcting errors) n direct from the 5th floor, lol…
BELOW IS A VIDEO CLIP OF THE MOONWALKER IN ACTION, ON THE FIRST DAY ITSELF, ON THE 1ST SEPTEMBER 2007…
On that day euhh, a person + gov(my x-brother in law) and myself took 2 tours each.
try to locate me into that clip ![]()
and lol, Gov laughed a bit too much in the video, do not pay attention to those laughts, lol..
Emtel & Cellplus promos…
Articles, Blogging, Fun, General, Technology October 24th, 2007
Its quite astonishing to see that nobody blogged about this topic in our blogosphere, i think so…
Some days back, Cellplus Users got quite a shock when it was announced that each time you refill your prepaid account, the amount doubles. There was quite a rush to buy prepaid cards or through top ups or internet banking since no one knew for how much time it was going to be valid, while some even thought it was a bug in their system.
Today, the 24th October 2007, this promo of first kind from C+ ends at midnight, dommage for those who forgot to refill their accounts!

My C+ account wont need any refill for long with the number of refills i did in this period, not many but quite considerable…
See it for yourself below:

But however, this is not a new practice in the mauritian mobile telephony.
Emtel, has been launching such promos since long time ago, sometimes beneficial to all the users, and sometimes to only a group of users who receive a promo sms.
I think that Cellplus wanted to do something similar but even better by extending to all its users and for a certain amount of time, unlike emtel.
This month has been quite profitable to me, both in my Cellplus and Emtel accounts since, i bought my emtel sim some time ago, durint the Emtel Free For You promo, which gives u a total of Rs1000 during a period of 7 months, only condition being, to refill your account with at least rs125 per month.
Some days back, on the 16th, i got my first bonus as in the screenshot below….

by the end of march 2008, i will have got a total of rs1000, including for the month of march 2008; a rs125 free calls, rs75 Video Calls, 30 SMS, 14MMS, rs90 WAP and rs60 Internet access…
My point of view;
let both mobile operators fight among themselves, am a winner on both sides since i have both accounts, lol…
Anyone is free to smsor try out video call wiz me

special thnks all my friends & colleagues for their enormous support, even when i told them not to worry koz i was doing gr8… they didnt believe me, koz it was really hard to believe despite what had happenned and that i was still zen… getting frequent sms, miscalls, pokings, nudges lol, all the time to make me remember that they are always here…
Also, thnks to those who proposed altenative names for my blog, indeed a very difficult task…After some individual brainstorming sessions wiz Avishna, Amishi, Feerdosh, Deepa, Neha, Varsha, Vicks, Manta, Jaya, Vissen, Laksh, Zai, Yas & Fadil (hope pane blier personne) + a small modification gave my blog a new shine of light.
Some like it while to others, it seems a bit strange, but i finally adopted it, until i find something nicer…
however since the last weeks, i enjoyed a lot wiz friends every weekend

She is one of my first friends i made on the net, and finally, after perhaps more than 3 years, we met…I dont remember exactly how we met each other on the web, but most surely through my web site.
Well, she is Feerdosh, a girl of mauritian origin who lives in france since her early years and now, she is married to a mauritian, Khalid, but still lives out there in france…

Photo Errattum,lol
Hey attention, pas p poze lamain narien lo her la,
C only lo banc la ki mo lamain eter!
Since those early days, we have been sharing out a lot of views, secrets, advices and a lot, lot of zourer, lol.
Wat i liked in our friendship is that, we talked practically in lots of languages at the same time, english, french, creole, et meme boute boute hindi ![]()
Also bits of our secrets were shared, without forgetting les “zourers” she formulated towards other ennemies.
Today, after all those years, we managed to meet in Caudan since she is in Mauritius for some weeks and we took lunch together, a bit of causette ![]()
Was really nice to finally meet you feerdosh…

I just remembered Archu, one of my very first virtual friends, who turned out to be one of my cousins in my extented-extented-extended family. Archu too is one of my very first friends on the net, and its only after nearly 1-2 years that we came to know we r cousins n we attended the same wedding, n i nearly missed her, koz she was there itself…
I still remember how much she visited my site, added comments in guest book or that first picture of her she managed to send… Thnks to u too archu…
I do not expect much comments on this post, but i wanted to show my gratitude and respect to those of my earliest friends i made through my web site, and who till now, are still here, among my msn contacts.
Ihave just finished uploading some very nice pics shot by Bernard on our expedition : “Anou monte Montagne Le Pouce” lol… thnks for the pics!

1st Mission Complete…
Yesterday, Veronique, Nisha, Bernard & Myself, all colleagues from DCDMC, successfully completed our first plan together.
Its only after i think nearly 2 months that i have gone out wiz friends, and i think its high time

At 945, We had set off from St Pierre’s Bus Station, walked for some 45 mins till the foot of Le Pouce.

We then reached the tip at 1150, took lunch on the tip’s surroundings (la plaine, lol) and we started our march down towards Plouis this time at about 130pm and we, painfully for some, reached the other side of the mountain at about 4pm.
You can watch the small clip i shot from the tip of Le Pouce below;
We are still deciding about our next plan, either Le Gorges or Montagne Lion or a camping weekend

Keep posted for the pics, which will be available perhaps in the next post…
Mobile phone nowadays…
About Me, Blogging, General, Leisure, Technology October 7th, 2007
Who doesnt use mobile phones nowadays?

Just imagine your day without your mobile, the loneliness of your pocket and the emptiness of your hand, lol.
Well, in my short lifetime, i used (in order)
- “Dancall” : solid, heavy duty and can be used as a matraque to stop trouble makers!
- Ericsson A2628, euh, considerably big - lost
- Ericsson T10 :), so trendy at that time (sold)
- Motorola Talkabout (i dont remember the name, lying in my drawer)
- Nokia 3330, white one, the next most common mob (euh, sold)
- Nokia 1100 (just gave to dad, as secondary mob)
- Nokia 6600 (given to my sis)
- Nokia N73 ( FOR SALE AT RS10,000)
- Nokia N80i,the latest in my collections

Yesterday i acquired the N80 Internet Edition, for the only reason, i needed a wifi mobile at home to use with the livebox. With the help of Splash (thnks!), i configured the connection and am still using it, while am not sitting at my laptop.

However, the N73 is much more nicer than the N80 for different reasons;
- Carl Zeiss Optics, 3.15 MP
- Stereo Speakers (available only in N73 and N95)
- Larger screen than N80
- Brighter Screen than N80
- Bluetooth 2.0
- 2 days battery life even for heavy usage
As i mentioned earlier, the
FOR SALE at
Only Rs10,000
- Made In Finland
- 3.15 MP Camera wiz Carl Zeiss Optics
- Stereo Speakers
- All Original Accessories + Charger
- Box
- Used since April 2007
- Manufacture Date : Nov 2006
I am not really keen to sell it, when comparing both mobiles, but since i have now permanently moved to emtel (Damn Network!), i wont need 2 different mobs.
For 2 months, i used my Nokia 1100 and N73 at the same time.
Btw, i already have some potential customers, so hurry up…
My next target is the superb, extraordinary N95!!!

The Mobile of your dreams, nothing compared to that iPhone!
hmm, target set to 1 month or max 2 months
Well, now, wat mobs have u been using since ur first one?
